General Information
Lune Valley Cottages is providing a medium for property owners to advertise their cottages to those seeking accommodation, and does not act as an 'agent' for any of the properties seen on this website. As such Lune Valley Cottages is not party to any agreements made between the owner of the property and those seeking holiday accommodation.
Arrivals & Departures
Please check either the individual property details or with the owners of the property for exact Arrival & Departures times.
Pets
Guests are asked to confirm with the owners of the individual properties before taking their pets with them on holiday.
Payment
The timing and details for the payment of rent and any deposits are arranged when booking the accommodation.
Keys
The arrangements for the collection of keys are made with the owners when booking the accommodation.
Linen
The amount and nature of Linen supplied with the accommodation does vary between properties. Guests are reminded to check what is supplied prior to their stay, either with the owners or on the property details page.
Fuel/Heating Supplement
Some properties charge a small amount for extra fuel costs, especially during winter months. Any additional charges can be discussed with the owners of the property when booking the accommodation.
Occupancy
Guests are reminded that only the number of visitors agreed at the time of booking may stay in the property, unless by prior arrangement with the owners of the property.
Care of the Property
Guests undertake to preserve the premises, and all furniture, fixtures and fittings in the manner and condition in which they find them on arrival. Visitors should endeavour to undertake any necessary cleaning prior to vacating the properties.
Breakages
Guests are asked to replace any items damaged during their stay, or contact the owners in circumstances where this is not possible.
Complaints
Whilst of course we would hope that you do not have need to complain, we must stress that any problems must be taken to the owners of the property, within either 24 hours of arriving, or of the problem occurring.
Cancellation
Any cancellations must be discussed with the owners of the property. In such circumstances any deposits are usually non-refundable. If owners are notified of cancellation less than six weeks before the holiday, the holidaymaker will be liable for the full balance of rental unless the owner of the property is able to re-let the period in question. If the owner is able to do so, then the balance will be refunded.
Force Majeure
In circumstances where services or facilities fail, which are outside of the control of the owner of the property (ie. electricity/water/gas/etc), then neither the owner nor Lune Valley Cottages will be responsible or liable, either in full or part, for any refunds or compensation. This also applies in situations where an attractions and facilities beyond those of the property, including those seen in connection with either the property or Lune Valley Cottages, fail or are closed for whatever reason. The only exception to this, is when a property is judged unsuitable for use in the event of a fire or flood. In these circumstances the maximum liability will be the rent paid.
All the information shown on the Lune Valley Cottages website has been compiled as accurately as possible, and to the best of our knowledge remains up to date. However, individual cottage owners may withdraw or change their properties for reasons beyond our control.
